Meet with the Creator

This page is to introduce a little bit about me and where did this whole "Martial Animos" concept come from.
Growing up in Southern China, I was fascinated and deeply influenced by one of the greatest folk tales __"Monkey King". At that time, we didn't get to watch any animation shows, even comic books were hard to find. But the tales told by the elders were vividly rooted in my brain. I tried to compile my first comic book at age 10.
Moved to Hong Kong, a place where eastern culture meets the west, I submerged in the joy of watching shows like Dr. Slump and other high quality Japanese cartoon shows, and I was also exposed to the world of Disney and Loony Toons.
Later moved to the United States, a whole new world of western culture was just within my grasp. I loved Tom and Jerry the most for its outrageous and ridiculous actions.
After graduated from college with an electrical engineering degree, I worked in the computer field, but I always felt the urge that something funny, exciting, a childhood dream had to come out of me.
I read a very wide range of books, from historical warfares to women magazines, from science reports to children stories. Among them all, I always pay a lot of attention to martial arts/kung fu and I have been also very fascinated by the world of animals, the futuristic world, the fairy tales and the ancient magic fighting trick.
So based what I loved the most, a comic book series was born, and later when I spotted the computer software Macromedia Flash, I then started building this interactive theme park on the cyber space. The whole idea if it is to create a multimedia project that readers/fans can follow the stories and the plots on the comic books, at the same time they get to enjoy other detail or little stories that are told in animated cartoons.
I have a lot of fun creating this fantasy world, and I wish you are also having a good time browsing this imaginary universe.
